World Physiotherapy Day - 8th September

Chronic pain affects 1 in 5 Australians, or as many as 1 in 3 Australians over the age of 65. This year World Physiotherapy Day—Sunday 8 September—focuses on the role physiotherapists play in supporting people with Chronic Pain.

Physiotherapists have clinical expertise to recommend specific exercise programs. They have the skills to pace grading exercise programs to suit an individuals needs.

Whilst is may seem counter-intuitive, exercise and movement is very effective in treating and relieving chronic pain, reducing disability and preventing further loss of well-being.

Physiotherapists can be a part of your health care team in treating chronic pain. If you are interested in how physiotherapy might help your condition, please don’t hesitate to contact the clinic on 4861 1223 and make a booking with one of our physiotherapists today.
