Nest Children's Physiotherapy.
Children are not little just little adults - they require Physiotherapists with training, skills and experience targeted to their developing needs. Our Paediatric Physiotherapy team provides just that. They only treat kids, as it is not only what they are trained to do - they are passionate about doing it well and tailoring their therapy to make sure that each child reaches their potential to grow, move, play and learn.
Nest’s dedicated children’s therapy rooms are a child and family friendly space for your child to achieve their physiotherapy goals. For younger children we incorporate play to make physio fun and our groups are a great addition to your child’s therapy.

Transitioning to Pointe work is an exciting time in a young ballet dancer’s life. It is important that they physically prepared. It is recommended to have an assessment before beginning, or soon after commencing pointe work.
A Pre-Pointe Assessment is performed by Physiotherapist who is trained to understand paediatric biomechanics and dance requirements.
Based on this assessment we provide recommendations to ensure a successful and safe transition to pointe work in collaboration with a student’s dance teacher.
Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine that can develop during significant growth periods such as adolescence. It is particularly common in teenage girls and is often detected from 10-12 years. Early identification is critical to allow for timely management.
Physiotherapists are able to assess for scoliosis. A thorough assessment involves:
Physical examination of the spine and any contributing factors
Referral for imaging and liaison with medical specialists if required
Scoliosis specific exercise therapy programs
Scoliosis is no longer screened at schools so it is important to seek advice from your health care professional.
