Telehealth Services

For those patients who are unable to attend their appointment in clinic we have TeleHealth Services available to help maintain the treatment or management process and continue your recovery without interruption or delay. We have been using Telehealth since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and many patients have continued to use it.

Physiotherapists can provide education, injury management, observational assessment, exercise prescription and self-management strategies via TeleHealth, so don’t be afraid to give it a go!

When is Telehealth most useful?

  • When you can’t come in as you must be in isolation

  • When you require an initial assessment to determine if you need to come in for face-face treatment

  • When your treatment does not require, or requires less “hands-on” treatment

How do I connect to a Telehealth appointment?

You will receive a link in your Appointment Confirmation email. You will receive it again the day prior to your appointment in your reminder SMS. At the time of the appointment simply click the link and wait for your Physio to join.

Tips for a successful Telehealth Appointment

  • wear appropriate clothing so that your Physiotherapist can see the area for which you are requiring management (singlets are a great way for your physio to see neck, back and shoulder/arm concerns)

  • it is helpful to have a helper with you to hold the device or help us to perform some of the assessment under our instruction (but if you don’t have someone that is ok too!)

  • connecting to your appointment via a mobile device or tablet enables you to more easily position the Physio in a place to adequately see joints, observe movement, take measurements and give you feedback.

  • ensure you have a reliable internet connection from the room where you are joining the appointment

  • make sure when connecting to the appointment that your device allows access to your microphone

  • please note all children under 16 must have a parent present for the duration of the appointment
