ACL knee injuries account for 30% of all netball injuries every year.

When an athlete under the age of 18yrs ruptures their ACL (knee ligament) their recovery can take up to 2 years before returning to sport.

  1. Females are 4-6 times more likely to injure their ACL than males

  2. The highest risk group are girls aged 15-18 years

  3. Return to sport can take up to 2 years

  4. Only 40% return to pre-injury level of sport.

In 2014 the equivalent total of 415years was spent on ACL rehabilitation amongst Australian netballers.

The Netball Knee Program was developed by Netball Australia to help prevent knee injures amongst netball players.

Our Physio’s Beck and Nicole are registered providers of the Netball Knee Program and are keen to help prevent knee injures for all our current and up and coming netballers.
